Will Houstoun is an international award winning magician who specializes in consultancy, for film and advertising, and lectures on both the technical and historic aspects of magic. Will is also an author having researched and written two books on magic as well as writing and illustrating for other people's magazines, instructions and books.
Will first burst onto the international Magic scene when he became the youngest ever person to win First Prize in The European Magic Championships and has since performed and lectured for magicians around the world at conventions and venues including The Magic Circle, (London) and The Magic Castle, (Los Angeles).
His interest in the history of magic has led him to research, write and publish two books: The Notebook which deals with card magic in the eighteenth century and Hellis in Wonderland that investigates a little known, but influential, nineteenth century performer. Will is currently studying for a PhD at The University of Essex based on Professor Hoffmann (a magician and author from 1870 till 1919 who had a huge influence on magic).
Will has also acted as a consultant providing both technical and historical information for film and advertising as well as being a Convener of Technical Skills for The Magic Circle.
